CIBUS TEC 2011

Cibus Tec – the International Exhibition on the Food Processing and Packaging – is the most important food technology exhibition in Italy. Held in Parma in the heart of the Italian Food Valley , it is dedicated to vegetables, fruit, milk and dairy products.

“Following a specific approach already experimented in 2009 edition, Cibus Tec 2011 will go on focusing on international markets trends, requirements and demands,” explained Rossano Bozzi, Cibus Tec Brand Manager. “To achieve these goals Cibus Tec is co-organized with a Programme Committee composed of many leading Companies of the Italian and international food industry. This Committee will identify topics and contents of the exhibition as well as conferences and workshops.” Furthermore, a Steering Committee has been working with Fiere di Parma on the international incoming and focus countries which will be part of the international visitors’ and buyers’ programme 2011. At this purpose Fiere di Parma promoted also committed partnerships with ICE (Italian Trade Commission), Ministry of Economic Development and Emilia Romagna Region. The promotion of the event will be organized by Fiere di Parma through international presentations and road-shows in order to facilitate the trade mission of food companies to Cibus Tec 2011.

“It will be a very special exhibition” – added Mr. Bozzi – “ as the IDF World Dairy Summit – Summilk 2011 – will take place at the same time as Cibus Tec, coming back to Italy after 55 years.” Furthermore, Cibus Tec 2011 conference programme will present together with IFU the International Federation of Fruit Juice Producers a dedicated workshop on fruit juices entitled “The increasing consumption of vegetable juices worldwide"-"Juice as important part in other products”.

“According to a 2009 survey, 74 % of the exhibitors declared to have acquired new contacts and 68 % considered it as a relevant event on a national and international level. We are confident Cibus Tec 2011 will get satisfying results.” stated Mr. Bozzi.
