Wernesgrüner Invests In New KHS Filling Technology

The Wernesgrüner brewery, which belongs to the Bitburger brewery group, and the beverage equipment manufacturer KHS have concluded a contract for a new filling and packaging line.

With a capacity of 50,000 glass bottles per hour, the new line in Wernesgrün enables the filling of both 0.3-l and 0.5-l bottles. Wernesgrüner traditionally relies on the beverage equipment manufacturer and already has a KHS system in use. Official commissioning of the new filling line is planned for mid-2011. In previous years, numerous projects have been realized with KHS also at other sites of the Bitburger brewery group.
